The Avenue Tennis Club is one of the longest running lawn tennis clubs in the country.
Like most tennis clubs it was struggling with membership numbers and outside of a core group it was not drawing existing members in to club social activities.
It had a website that had been created by one of the members but was no longer meeting the club’s needs. This is never an easy position for a club, but the transition was dealt with tactfully and with enormous postive feeling from the club. The new site was designed to allow the club’s head coach and his assistant to easily update, keeping the content lively and relevant and chocked full of photos.
The site was launched as part of the centenary year celebrations. Together with the tireless efforts of the committee and active members the site’s far reaching appeal helped to sell out many of the year’s events such as Open Days and Centenary Ball.
The site is now tasked with driving uptake of coaching, especially amongst juniors.
