The new look site is up and running. The theme is one that will be used as the basis for a couple of sites nestling under the Astera umbrella. While a number of plugins were used to get the site running as it should I wanted to pay particular homage to the content slider used on the first page and the showcase. The code is heavily modified but based originally on the WP Featured Content Slider plugin.
This is a fantastic way of highlighting bits of content to your site’s visitors and potentially adding a spot of visual interest too.
